My favorite lipgloss is 'Cupquake' from Victoria Secrets. It's sparkly and clear, so it really adds no color to your lips, just shine. It truly smells like real cupcake icing/batter! Cupquake looks like sparkly pink in the bottle (which I would NEVER wear) but it doesn't come out that way! My favorite would probably bee a maroon color.

I have it in Clutch Pink and I just love it, although it comes in many other colors as well. The color is extremely long lasting, so you don't have to keep applying it every hour. The only downside is that it's a little pricey, $26 a tube.

You can't really pick the one right color for lip gloss. It depends on what style or look you like. Almost any lip gloss will look good. It also depends on what you're wearing. If you're wearing cool colors then you should try pink lip glosses (possibly cultured by MAC) and if you're wearing warm colors then you should try a neutral beige that's kind of orangey (possibly prrr or love nectar by MAC). I also had a MAC lipglass that I quite liked but many people don't because they claim it's too sticky. MAC also has a product called ';Slimshine';. It is essentially a hybrid of a lip gloss and lipstick, giving you the color pigment / payoff of a lipstick, but the finish of a gloss. I think you might really like those.

Brushing your teeth after every meal will prevent your teeth from getting any worse. And of course keeping away from coffee, tea and smoking will help too. ;-)
The crest whitening strips work pretty good. I notice a difference the first few times I used it, but the more I used them though the less difference I saw.
As far as the whitening tooth paste and mouth washes, they don't seem to do anything at all.

If you using a red,you have to make sure to get one with BLUE undertones to it,instead of one with orange or brown undertones.The blue undertones make your eyes and teeth appear whiter,while the o/br undertones make them appear yellow-ish.

If you shy away from reds,then darker shades should acheive a similar result as well.

if you dont like red (i dont like it either lol) then try a plum colour. i have the mac lipglass in the shade love child. it works really well with my skintone, which is more tanned, and my teeth look super white lol

Brushing your teeth after every meal will prevent your teeth from getting any worse. And of course keeping away from coffee, tea and smoking will help too. ;-)
The crest whitening strips work pretty good. I notice a difference the first few times I used it, but the more I used them though the less difference I saw.
As far as the whitening tooth paste and mouth washes, they don't seem to do anything at all.

If you would prefer a red shade (which seems to be the trend right now, and that i don't like very much) then you should try Chanel in Spark, it is a berry color that is very classy and sophisticated, and it would look great on medium skintones (my friend uses this color).
all these are Chanel Glossmiers, may be expensive $24.50 but they are worth every penny, plus it's not like you're buying any other type of makeup so might as well splurge!!

Viva Glam V : Nude pinks look great on every skin tone, and paired with the right eye makeup, I find it's the one that my eyes pop out the most because it's so toned down. It'll make you feel like a bombshell, basically! :) that's always good.

Go to sephora and check out their store brand lipglosses. They're cheaper than all of the other brand, hold just as much quality, and there is a massive range of colors. Yesterday I got a bold pink and a sparkly nude shade.Were can you get good colors of lip gloss?
i use the Rimmel london Vinyl Gloss, Mirror Shine Lipgloss.
Its really good, and stays on for a while.
It also lets your natural Lip colour show through making them very shiny :)

Specific Drugstore Lipstick and Lip Gloss Colors for Black Women (Iman Skin Color)?
I was wondering if anyone could list a few of their favorite colors of lipstick/lipbalm/lipgloss from any drugstore brand that darker skinned black women (full lips and all) could wear. Please list the actual names. I always see ';go for plum colors and darker pinks.'; And I am thinking, yeah but could you be more specific.
I am about the same color as Iman with orange/yellow undertones. I do look around myself, it's just I wanted to know what other people were wearing.

You should try Covergirl, the Queen Collection. I'm more on the red side, but my fave is diamond- it's a wet slick. The queen collection is made especially for women of color. The glosses ';especially pinks'; are so pretty you would just want to try them all.

check them out on line. i think you can order from their website if there isn't one near you. they have them in lipstick and lipglass (not gloss). my friends and i (some halle berry colored, some iman colored) all have the lipglass version. i know white women who use the viva glam 5 too. it's a great nude. plus, the proceeds of viva glam goes to AIDS.
you can click on the product to get enlarged swatches. plus, if you have a store, they will apply as many colors as you like so you can see them. i usually try it on, then go outside to see what it looks like in natural light.
